Coleg Cambria students return to college after achieving first and third places in the inaugural Worldskills Enterprise Wales Final.

The first WorldSkills Enterprise Challenge Welsh Final was held recently in Llandarcy, Swansea.  Three teams of learners from Coleg Cambria, two teams from A levels and one from Travel and Tourism were present to compete against other teams from Wales.

The teams were picked to represent the college following an internal challenge with over 60 team entries. For the skills final, the students were given a challenge and had 5 hours to produce an idea, a business plan, cash flow forecast and a presentation.  They then had to present their idea to a panel of expert judges and answer questions based on their idea and business plan.

One of the A level teams won first place with the Travel and Tourism team being awarded third place.

One of the judges, Penny Matthews said:

“The learners were a credit to Coleg Cambria, very innovative and enterprising, well done!”
