Coleg Cambria Apprentice Engineer Gina Gibb celebrates following the Future Manufacturing Awards 2017 held in London recently.
Gina, 19 from the Wirral who is employed by Magellan Aerospace, Llay, was awarded National Runner-up in the Intermediate & Advanced Apprentice – First Year Award.
The Future Manufacturing Awards are all about celebrating success, rewarding change, building partnerships, progressing ideas, developing good practice and investing in people, highlighting manufacturing at its finest. The Apprentice award was developed for Intermediate and Advanced level apprentices who have done the most to seize the training and development opportunities presented to them during the first year of their Engineering Apprenticeship programme.
Coleg Cambria’s Deputy Director for Curriculum for Engineering, Salah Berdouk said:
“Gina has excelled since she joined us at Coleg Cambria as a Magellan Aerospace apprentice. She is always positive and keen to develop herself and others. Her technical knowledge and abilities are of the highest standard. She is a great communicator and has fitted well at Coleg Cambria.
