In the Barclays Tech Innovation finals Computing Technologies students Megan Duley and Chantelle Pearson were named as the winning team in the Best Use of Technology Award.

Several teams from Cambria competed against other colleges in the region in three categories; Most Successful Project Idea, Most Effective Pitch and Best Use of Technology.

Welcoming the audience and judges in Welsh, Megan and Chantelle presented their idea successfully. The team developed a technical solution to help teenagers find careers in IT, the judges were able to have a go of the winning prototype and use it during their presentation.

Simon Prince, Computing Technologies Lecturer at Coleg Cambria said:

“Congratulations to our team ‘COAC’ who won the category for Best Use of Technology, they presented their idea perfectly. The judges were impressed by the detail of the proposal that they wrote up and even more so by the technical prototype that they created which they demonstrated on the day.”
