Four Physics students from Yale Sixth Form, Coleg Cambria, had the opportunity to take part in the University of Liverpool Physics Olympics recently.
Jordan Morris, Ethan Smith, Kyeman Fong and Luke Price performed exceptionally well in all activities with very little preparation.
The annual event, organised by the Department of Physics at the University is designed as a competition but is also fun for future scientists and engineers. Teams of four school or college students are invited to take part in the competition which requires teamwork, problem solving techniques and application of physics.
Liverpool Physics Olympics is organised under the umbrella of The Physics Olympics Worldwide events for students, also held in the USA, Germany and Australia on or around the same day.
Physics Lecturer Ekundayo Akinduro said: “The students performed very well; my belief is that everyone can do physics.”Go back
