Construction Building (Wales) Foundation Apprenticeship or Apprenticeship in Decorative Finishes and Industrial Painting Level 2
Learners will work towards NVQ Level 2 progressing to a Level 3 in Decorative Finishes. These Apprenticeships are for learner working in either a domestic or industrial setting. The Level 3 Apprenticeship will require understanding opportunities to apply more complex decorative finishes and higher skill levels in the workplace. A day release in college is also part of the Apprenticeship to develop the knowledge and skills to complete the appropriate level diploma (approximately 18 months per programme).
Construction Building (Wales) Foundation Apprenticeship or Apprenticeship in Wood Occupations Level 2
Learners will work towards NVQ Level 2 progressing to a Level 3 in Wood Occupations specialising in either Site Carpentry or Bench Joinery. The Level 3 qualification will require the more complex elements of carpentry and joinery with a higher skill level and responsibilities in the workplace. For these Apprenticeships the appropriate level diploma will be undertaken in college on a day release basis (approximately 18 months per programme).
Construction Building (Wales) Foundation Apprenticeship in Maintenance Operations Level 2
Learners will work towards NVQ Level 2 in Building Maintenance Multi Trade Repair designed for employees who undertake small to medium repairs or refurbishments in various trade disciplines. The Apprenticeship includes a day release diploma where a basic knowledge and ability will be developed in carpentry, bricklaying, painting and decorating, plumbing, plastering, health and safety, with other general building repairs included (approximately 24 months per programme).
Plumbing and Heating (Wales) Foundation Apprenticeship or Apprenticeship Level 2
Learners will work towards NVQ Level 2 progressing to a Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating leading to gas certification in a domestic setting. The Apprenticeships will include day release in college to develop both knowledge and skills at the required level (approximately 24 months per programme).
Heating & Ventilation Systems (Wales) Foundation Apprenticeship or Apprenticeship Level 2
Learners will work towards NVQ Level 2 progressing to a Level 3 in Heating and Ventilation in industrial work environments. The Apprenticeships will include a day release in college to develop both knowledge and skills at the required level (approximately 24 months per programme).
Engineering Manufacture/ Electrotechnical Foundation Apprenticeship Level 2
Learners will work towards a Level 2 NVQ in Engineering Maintenance and Installation. The Apprenticeship will develop the knowledge and skills needed for electrical installations and maintenance in both domestic and industrial environments. Workplace assessments of competence and day release taught elements in college make up this Foundation Apprenticeship (approximately 24 months per programme).
Construction Specialist (Wales) Foundation Apprenticeship in Plastering Level 2
Learners will work towards a Level 2 NVQ in Plastering in the workplace and day release in college to develop the knowledge and skills for internal and solid wall plastering, rendering, health, safety, welfare and principles of construction (approximately 18 months per programme).
Construction Building (Wales) Foundation Apprenticeship in Trowel Occupations Level 2
Learner will work towards a Level 2 NVQ in Trowel Occupations in the workplace and day release in college to develop the knowledge and skills for brickwork/ masonry structures, health, safety, welfare and principles of construction (approximately 18 months per programme).
Electrotechnical (Wales) Apprenticeship Level 3
Following the successful completion of a Foundation Apprenticeship, learners will work towards a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment. This Level 3 Apprenticeship will include day release in college to develop the knowledge and skills as well as workplace assessment of competence of electrical installation, testing and maintenance of electrical systems which are finalised in the AM2 assessments. (Approximately 24 months per programme).
Construction Technical (Wales) Apprenticeship Level 3
The Construction Technical Apprenticeships Level 3 is for learners in the construction industry with a job role of design, site management or civil engineering. This will include a day release programme undertaking a BTEC in Construction and the Built environment and NVQ Level 3 completed in the workplace related to job specification (approximately 24 month programme).
Higher Apprenticeship in Construction Management Level 4
Following a Level 3 qualification, learners will work towards a NVQ Level 3 in Site Supervision in the workplace and attend college on a day release basis for a HNC in Construction and the Built Environment. Individuals will need to have or be working working towards supervisory responsibilities in construction. This will develop the understanding and ability to manage people and construction developments. There are several pathways that can be followed in this Apprenticeship depending on employment sector (approximately 24 month programme).
