Why Choose An Apprenticeship?

Kickstart your career with an apprenticeship and earn as you learn.

Across North Wales and beyond, companies are recruiting for apprenticeships and training people in the skills they need to succeed in their career.

As an apprentice you will earn whilst you learn, gaining skills, knowledge, experience and recognised qualifications along the way. Whether you’re aged between 16 and 19 or 20 and over, a range of apprenticeship options may be available to you.

An Apprenticeship is a popular way to get into the beauty and nail industry, you gain invaluable experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification all while earning a wage!

Apprentices will be trained in their individual salons learning the core skills and will be assessed in the workplace by our industry served assessing teams.

Learners in this industry will need to be friendly, creative and be able to put clients at ease.

Studied – Level 2 Beauty Therapy

Currently – Senior Apprentice at The Secret Spa

“My current role is senior apprentice as I’m now level 2 qualified and have already begun my level 3 course.

“My current role is building up my client base within the salon, and learning my level 4 skills on the job.

“I enjoyed everything about studying with cambria this year, but the highlight of the year was competing in welsh skills and winning gold for the college in the beauty therapist category.

The course I studied has helped hugely with understanding beauty as a whole and has prepared me with all the knowledge I need.”

Studied – A Level English, Drama, Maths and French

Currently – Presenter and News Correspondent for the BBC

“I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do in the future, so I chose a range of different subjects to study at A Level. I’m now employed by the BBC as a Presenter and News Correspondent and studying at Yale Sixth gave me the confidence and skills to go onto university. I made some amazing friends, had some great teachers who I’ll never forget and had a great time in Wrexham!

“I look back on my time at Yale with pride and fondness and will never forget it!”
