Why Choose An Apprenticeship?

Kickstart your career with an apprenticeship and earn as you learn.

Across North Wales and beyond, companies are recruiting for apprenticeships and training people in the skills they need to succeed in their career.

As an apprentice you will earn whilst you learn, gaining skills, knowledge, experience and recognised qualifications along the way. Whether you’re aged between 16 and 19 or 20 and over, a range of apprenticeship options may be available to you.

Do you like animals? Have you ever thought about working with them professionally?

In 2021/2022 an estimated 62% of households in the UK had a pet and they all need looking after!

Completing an Apprenticeship in this industry could help you become a zoo worker, dog groomer, veterinary technician, dog handler and so much more.

Apprentices will be assessed in the workplace by our industry served assessing teams alongside day release college learning for some courses at our Northop site.

Learners completing these qualifications need to be calm, patient and good with handling animals of all sizes.

“During my apprenticeship I was getting the training as well as getting paid. It opens your eyes up to the working environment and gets you ready for your future.

I think it’s brilliant to have the opportunity to do an apprenticeship as a mature person.”
