Coleg Cambria is committed to working with schools in North and Mid Wales, Cheshire, the Wirral and the surrounding areas to enable pupils to find out about college life and to help them make the right choice about their future. Our aim is to assist them in making the transition from school to a course at the college as smoothly and easily as possible.

Visiting Schools
Visiting Coleg Cambria
  • The Schools Liaison team can come and visit your school to deliver a wide range of sessions to ensure pupils are familiar with what is available to them in order to help them succeed.

    An Introduction to College Life

We can offer a short presentation suitable for assemblies, tutor groups or during class, giving pupils an overview of what Coleg Cambria can offer and the application process. This can be extended into a workshop session which can include more in-depth information about courses (including our land-based provision), entry requirements, student life and support available to students.

Careers Events, Options and Parent Evenings

Coleg Cambria is happy to support your school by attending these events and offering information, advice and guidance to pupils and their parents.

    Specialist Subject Area Talks

A subject tutor can visit your school to run a session discussing a particular subject area including specific course content, enrichment activities, career opportunities and progression routes. This can include an interactive workshop. These sessions are proving particularly popular within the land-based faculty.

  • Our Student Services team can arrange for pupils to come and visit any of our Coleg Cambria sites and view the facilities, including real work environments and college life. There is also an opportunity to find out more about the courses on offer.

    College Tours

Small groups or individuals are welcome to visit any of the Coleg Cambria sites and take a tour of the facilities. This gives pupils the chance to experience what it’s really like to be a student at Coleg Cambria. To book a visit please contact the Schools Liaison team on 0300 3030 007.

    Land-based Taster Days

The land-based Taster Days offered at Coleg Cambria Northop and Llysfasi, give pupils an insight into what it is like to study at the land-based sites. This annual event offers pupils the opportunity to gain experience in two subject areas. The events take place during the Spring Term. To make sure you are on our distribution list, and for further details, please send your contact information to

    Open Evenings

We encourage all potential students to attend our open events and take the opportunity to discuss course options with our tutors, explore the facilities and meet our student ambassadors. Prospective students can receive careers guidance and find out about the range of support available and apply for their chosen course.
