Abi Allman, Entry to Care student at Coleg Cambria, has recently cut her hair in aid of the college’s chosen charity, Wales Air Ambulance.
Abi, 17 from Mold, had 12 inches cut off by fellow Hairdressing student Lauren Campbell at the Deeside site. The hair will be donated to the Princess Trust for cancer patient.
Brave Abi said:
“I want to help cancer victims and be able to also do something worthwhile for the college. I discussed different options with my tutor, and we came up with the idea of having my hair cut off in aid of Welsh Air Ambulance to raise vital funds and donating the hair to the Princess Trust.
“It feels amazing to be able to help other people that are in need and I am very proud that I was able to help. Thank you everyone who has helped me to achieve this goal.”
Amanda Medlyn, Lecturer in Health and Social Care/Childcare and Abi’s course tutor said:
“We are very proud of Abi, who is a wonderful caring student. She couldn’t decide what she wanted to do so we discussed her ideas and she decided that she would cut her long hair to help both the colleges charity and the Princess Trust.”
To date Abi has raised almost £500.Go back
